Product Information
What is PCR plastic?
Post Consumer Resin is a type of plastic that is made from recycled, previously used plastic. This method of reprocessing gives old plastic a new life, meaning less single-use plastic ends up in our landfills and oceans. Zyfe soap containers use rPET plastic, which stands for Recycled Polyethylene Terephthalate. PET plastics are known by most municipal recycling systems as #1 plastic, and are easily able to be recycled.
Our 64oz refill bottles and automatic soap dispensers are made from 80% PCR plastic, and the pumps on our 12oz dispensers are made from 100% PCR plastic.
What is SUP?
SUP stands for single-use plastic. It's any plastic product that is made to only be used one time. Our goal is to reduce reliance on SUP in favor of MUP - multi-use plastic, which can be reused or repurposed.
Are your products recyclable?
Absolutely. All product containers can be recycled after use.
Do your products contain Sodium Lauryl Sulfate (SLS)?
No, we don’t use SLS, but we do use Sodium Laureth Sulfate (SLES). Their names sound so similar that they seem interchangeable, but SLES is formulated to be much, much gentler on the skin than SLS.
What’s the difference between SLS and SLES?
Both Sodium Lauryl Sulfate (SLS) and Sodium Laureth Sulfate (SLES) are commonly used in personal care products like soap, toothpaste, and shampoo. Both chemicals are surfactants - active agents that, in the case of soap, blend the soap’s ingredients together and allow them to cleanse the skin. They’re also foaming agents, allowing for more satisfying soap suds.
SLS can be irritating and drying to the skin because, when left on the skin for an extended period of time, it’s able to penetrate the top layers of the skin, stripping it of moisture and causing a reaction. SLES, on the other hand, is made to be less irritating and doesn’t strip the skin of excess moisture.
Why do you use Sodium Laureth Sulfate (SLES) in your products?
SLES works in Zyfe soap to allow for a more satisfying and cleansing hand washing experience, creating foaming action without drying the skin. We opted for SLES rather than SLS to avoid the drying effects of SLS.
What vitamins do you use in your products?
Each bottle of Zyfe soap is infused with vitamins B3 (as Niacinamide), B5 (as Panthenol), E, and C, as well as Biotin.
The product pages for each soap have a complete list of ingredients, so you can find out exactly what’s in your favorite scent.
Do your products contain any allergens?
Our products are gluten free and do not contain common allergens such as eggs or peanuts. However, if you have previously had skin reactions to products containing essential oils or coconut oil, consult with your doctor before using Zyfe soap.
Are your products naturally scented?
Yes! We use naturally derived essential oils for fragrance.

About Us
How have you committed to reducing your environmental impact?
What is Zyfe all about? What is your mission?
This company was founded with the goal of making sustainable habits more accessible and affordable for all. We want to empower our customers to lead more earth-conscious lives, and work towards a better tomorrow - all while enjoying relaxing scents and softer skin. Our wash-rinse-plant initiative is our fun twist on eco-friendly habits, and we hope you get as much enjoyment from it as we have.
Where can I find Zyfe products?
We currently only sell on Amazon.
Why did you choose to sell on Amazon?
Amazon has pledged to reach net-zero carbon emissions by 2040. We are happy to work with a company that is seeking to reduce its environmental impact and enact real change.
In addition, by working with a company that ships a large number of packages in the same trucks, we’re using less emissions to get our products from place to place than if we used our own trucks for every order. It’s the same concept as carpooling - by transporting more items in the same vehicle, emissions are minimized. Check out our video here to learn more.
